Miniature Change Over Switch
What is Change over Switch?
Newtech Miniature Change Over Switches are
disconnectors basically with independent manual operation. Under normal load
conditions these switches are capable of making , breaking & carrying
currents. These are also capable of operating under overload conditions and
also carry currents under specified abnormal circuit conditions such as
those of short circuit for a specified time.
Where it can be used?
Newtech miniature change over switch can be
used in various industrial & domestic applications in low voltage
distribution circuits for switching to an alternate source of supply from
main supply and vice-versa.
How does it work?
Switching mechanism of Newtech c/o switches
is double break type. The contact tips are made of silver Cadmium Oxide
(AgCdO) for longer life and sustained current carrying capacity and also
ensures that temperature rise is within specified limits. Whole Mechanism is
housed in flame retardant thermo plastic moulded housing.
